Four contestants from KwaZulu-Natal have joined 26 other hopefuls in Johannesburg this week to participate in the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant.
The selection panel who will decide which of the 30 will advance in the competition includes actress, model, and media personality Lerato Kganyago; actress, presenter, voice artist, model, author, and entrepreneur Leandie du Randt, who also served as a judge last year; and Stephanie Weil, CEO of the Miss South Africa Organisation.
Meet KZN’s entrants
Durban’s 25-year-old Andrea Morrison holds a Bachelor of Education and an Honours Degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She is a high school English teacher and describes herself as assertive about her passions , advocating for equality among schools in South Africa.
Twenty-seven-year-old Lebohang Khoza from Pietermaritzburg is a teacher of the performing arts. She is also a choreographer and actor with a BA in Performing Arts from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She is passionate and open-minded, aiming to integrate performing arts therapy into education.
Nokulunga Zungu, 29, from Umlazi is a B Com graduate and is pursuing her honours at the University of South Africa. She describes herself as a child of God with a gracious and loving spirit. Her mission is to encourage youth to prioritize education and to advocate for investment in South African creatives by the Department of Arts and Culture.
Richard Bay’s Sinenhlanhla Mthethwa, 23, is a model and entrepreneur with a psychology degree from the University of Zululand. She runs her clothing business, Cassie M Clothing, full-time and sees herself as a go-getter and aims to combat woman-to-woman hate while promoting entrepreneurship among young people to tackle unemployment.
