As the clock ticks down to this year's highly anticipated Comrades Marathon, participants who opted for the flexible payment plan are reminded to settle the remaining balance by this week.
Ann Ashworth, the Race and Operations Manager of the Comrades Marathon Association (CMA), emphasised the importance of prompt payment for athletes who took advantage of the 50% upfront payment option. This accommodating approach, she said, allowed runners to pay half the entry fee upon registration and the remainder by the end of February and has proven popular for the second consecutive year.
“Our runners spoke, and we listened. The flexible payment option has been very well received,“ said Ashworth.
She urged participants to finalise their payments by the end of this month to ensure their secured entry and confirmed spot on the starting line come Sunday June 9.
The cut-off date for settling all outstanding balances is Thursday February 29. To complete the entry payment process, participants are advised to log into their 2024 entry profile on the Comrades Marathon website.
