The 2024 Harcourts Hilton Art in the Country exhibition will be held from Thursday to Sunday May 23 to 26 at Harrington House.

Speaking at the official launch last Friday, convenor Kathy Jacob said the event was on track to increase both the value of works sold and the number of visitors to the magical splendour under a giant marquee at Harrington House in Hilton.

“Last year, we recorded sales to the value of R1.25 million and a foot count of more than 3 500 over the four days of the exhibition,” she said. “This year, we’re confident of beating both those metrics.”

Jacob also unveiled new sponsors - Investec, and Hilton Quarry Superspar and Tops.

“We’re excited by the support from two iconic brands as a measure of Art in the Country’s growing regional and national stature,” she said.

With more than 140 artists clamouring to be part of the Art in the Country ambience, Jacob was spoilt for choice to fill the 60 slots.

“We’re honoured to showcase some of the country’s top artists whose work is sought after by investors and art aficionados,” she said.
