In a first clash since their enthralling T20 World Cup Final, South Africa and India will face off in the first Wonder Cement T20 International of their series. The match will be played at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium on Friday November 8, at 5pm.
KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) cricket fans have shown an intense interest in T20 cricket and the high-profile nature of a series against India.
Hollywoodbets Kingsmead and the faithful have proved their appetite for international cricket following last year’s sold-out clash with India as well as the hosting of the three-match T20 series against Australia.
CEO of KZN Cricket, Heinrich Strydom, said he’s always encouraged by the interest in international matches at Kingsmead.
“We’re so excited to see how many people want to come and watch the world champions take on the world cup finalists in their first match since that final in the Caribbean,” Mr Strydom said.
“T20 cricket is incredibly popular and it’s clear that the people of Durban have an appetite for international cricket. It’s going to be another exciting summer of cricket for us here at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium and we hope to see the Durban faithful enjoying some exciting cricket.”
