A young women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) conference will take place at the Durban ICC on Thursday August 1.
The conference is geared towards Grade 10 and 11 girl pupils from Science2Go and Model C schools. Nominees will be selected based on their performance in physical or life sciences and their demonstrated leadership qualities.
The conference line-up includes keynote speakers hailing from diverse industries such as ICT, art/design, engineering and automotive, and the medical sectors who will share insights drawn from their personal journeys, offering guidance to the next generation of STEM professionals.
Interactive workshops and exhibitions will provide hands-on experiences and showcase cutting-edge advancements in STEM careers. A highlight of the event will be a panel discussion featuring expert advice on university applications, CV writing, and social media etiquette.
Radio presenter and motivational speaker Keri Miller will be the MC.
