One person has died and two others were seriously injured following a shoot-out at a car wash in Parkgate, Phoenix, on Thursday afternoon.
Prem Balram of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) said they received several calls about an attack at Parkgate Car Wash on Heathrow Avenue, at about 4.15pm.
“Paramedics and reaction officers arrived on scene at about 4.18pm and were directed to a wendy house on the premises,” said Mr Balram.
They found three men inside with multiple gunshot wounds, he said.
“It is believed that two balaclava clad men opened fire on the occupants of the wendy house with pistols and fled on foot,” he said.
It is alleged that the shooting was drug-related.
Phoenix police said they were investigating murder and two cases of attempted murder.
No arrests have been made and investigations continue.
