Missing nurse, Ntombi Futhi, 49, has been found dead.
She disappeared from her residence on School Road in Parkgate, on Tuesday night. Concerns arose when she failed to report for her shift at the Redcliffe Clinic in Redcliffe on Wednesday.
Colleagues at the clinic contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) to check on her and when officers, accompanied by Ms Futhi’s manager, visited her home, they were unable to locate her. Ms Futhi’s 23-year-old son informed the officers that he had last seen his mother the previous night. Repeated attempts to reach her via cellphone were unsuccessful.
On Thursday October 12, RUSA received confirmation on that Ms Futhi had been discovered deceased. Her family positively identified her body at the Phoenix Government Mortuary.
The circumstances surrounding Ms Futhi’s death have not yet been officially confirmed.
