A man was allegedly attacked by an e-hailing driver in Phoenix on Saturday morning after he failed to pay the driver.
According to Prem Balram, the spokesperson for Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), the attack occurred after he was unable to pay for the services provided.
“Members of Rusa were called out to a service station at approximately 1.19am on Saturday. On arrival, reaction officers discovered a man lying on the ground bleeding from injuries to his face. His friend explained that they used an e-hailing service,” he said.
He added they requested to be transported to an ATM to withdraw cash and pay for the ride.
Mr Balram said the injured man was transported privately to a medical facility.
