KwaZulu-Natal’s elite gathered at one of the year’s most glamorous events—the Mr India South Africa competition held at The Imbizo, Sibaya. The evening was alive with an electric atmosphere, dazzling performances, and unparalleled talent as twelve young men took to the stage to compete for the coveted title.
After a thrilling contest, KZN’s own Teevir Reddy emerged victorious, adding another accolade to his impressive list of achievements. Teevir claimed the title of Mr India South Africa 2024, solidifying his reputation as a rising star and a force to be reckoned with. Brandon Singh was named first runner-up.
Teevir is no stranger to the spotlight. Beyond the Mr India SA stage, he’s a record-breaking athlete, holding KZN’s 100m and 200m sprint titles. Off the track, Teevir is dedicated to his education and passionate about inspiring youth in the realms of sports, education, and mental health. “You can achieve anything with dedication and passion,” he says.
The Mr India South Africa competition is renowned for its rigorous selection process, evaluating contestants on talent, intellect, cultural representation, and charisma. Teevir’s victory is as a result of his versatility, charm, and drive to inspire others. Speaking after his win, he shared, “This victory is not just for me but for everyone who has supported me. It’s proof that with hard work and determination, the sky is truly the limit.”
With prizes exceeding R200 000, including a cash award, Teevir was both humbled and exhilarated. Acknowledging the high calibre of the competition, he remarked, “It was a close race. Every contestant brought their A-game, and each one of us deserved to be here.”
Unlike traditional pageants, Mr India South Africa focuses on grooming business-minded young men, emphasising personal and professional growth.
“I joined the competition after learning about their vision to mentor young men and align them with values that resonate with success,” Teevir said.
Event director Danny Moodliyar said the pageant’s mission was to inspire youth through mentorship and development. “Our vision is to nurture leaders who are as passionate about personal growth as they are about uplifting others,” he said.
“For Teevir, this victory marks just the beginning. With his sights set on national and international platforms, he is poised to inspire a new generation of athletes, entrepreneurs, and dreamers.
