A wealth management company marked their 10th anniversary by spending the day at The Domino Foundation’s offices and Babies’ Home in Durban North recently.
Divided into groups, they rotated through various activities that not only gave them an insight into the services the foundation provides, but also the opportunity to participate.
Domino’s Volunteer Co-ordinator, Sizamile Mkhwanazi, guided them through the schedule that saw them rolling up their sleeves to cultivate, nurture, and literally ‘spread the bread’.
Planting vegetables in the gardens, making sandwiches for the nutrition programme and sorting donations for the Early Childhood Programme was the order of the day.
However, it was interacting with the home’s youngest residents that pulled at the heartstrings and were among the most memorable moments for Carrick’s staff.
