An elderly man was injured when his scooter collided with a Range Rover at the corner of Inverness and Adelaide Tambo Drive in Durban North on Wednesday afternoon.
A Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) officer, who was on patrol in the area, discovered the scene shortly after the accident had occurred.
RUSA’s Prem Balram said emergency responders were immediately dispatched to the site.
“Paramedics from KZN VIP arrived promptly, stabilising the injured rider before transporting him to a medical facility for further treatment. His condition remains unknown at this time,” said Mr Balram.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
