If you have unwanted e-waste and are not sure what to do with it, the eThekwini municipality’s cleansing and solid waste department, in partnership with Psixteen, will be collecting e-waste in various areas tomorrow, Saturday January 13.
The recycling of e-waste serves many useful purposes, including protecting human and environmental health by keeping electronic devices out of landfills. It also enables the recovery of parts within the devices that still have value and provides manufacturers with recycled metals, allowing electronic manufacturers to use the parts to make new products.
Waste collection will take place tomorrow, Saturday January 13, from 9am to 3pm at the following venues:
- 188 Sandile Thusi Road (CSW Education Offices)
- La Lucia Library (1 Library Lane)
- Westville Civic Centre (1 William Lester Drive)
- Tongaat Sizakala Centre (325 Gopallal Hurbans Road)
