The case against the five men arrested in connection with the murder of Kiernan Jarred Forbes (AKA) and Tebello Motsoane (Tibz), among other charges, returned to the Durban Magistrate’s Court last Friday November 29.
The case against the accused was remanded for indictment.
Natasha Ramkisson-Kara, regional spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), said in February 2023, Mr Forbes and Mr Motsoane were shot and killed outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road, just outside the Durban CBD.
“The men: Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi, 30, Lindani Zenzele Ndimande, 35, Siyanda Eddie Myeza, 21, Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni, 36, and Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande, 29, are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, murder (Forbes), murder (Motsoane), unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and five counts of attempted murder. The state also added two further charges of money laundering,” said Ms Ramkisson-Kara.
Following deliberations between the state and counsel for the accused, the case was remanded to February 7, 2025, for the indictment, Ms Ramkisson-Kara added.
