Kasi Xperience gives away new wheels

Vumani Ndlovu drove off in a brand new car on Wednesday. He was selected as the lucky winner of the INK-Kasi Xperience

The INK-Kasi Xperience left a lucky winner smiling from ear to ear after he won a new set of wheels, a VW Polo, at the event hosted in KwaMashu last Wednesday, March 19. 

The event, which was part of the INK-Kasi Xperience’s ongoing 10th anniversary celebrations, was hosted in collaboration with eThekwini Municipality’s Durban Tourism Unit.

Vumani Ndlovu, was thrilled to win a brand-new car. He expressed his joy and gratitude, his ticket to the music extravaganza was selected as the winner of the vehicle.

“I am absolutely thrilled to have won the car. This is truly a dream come true. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to INK-Kasi Xperience and Durban Tourism for this incredible opportunity. The excitement generated by this competition has brought our community together, and I feel honoured to be the winner. I also want to congratulate all the runners-up for their accomplishments. I can’t wait to enjoy my new ride and all the amazing prizes that come with it,” said Mr Ndlovu.

Held annually, the music festival not only showcases regional talent but also champions township tourism and drives economic development, prioritising local businesses within its value chain. The event significantly contributes to job creation while promoting social cohesion, fostering meaningful change in Inanda, Ntuzuma, and KwaMashu (INK) areas, said chairperson of the Economic Development and Planning Committee Thembo Ntuli. 

“We take pride in our commitment to foster an inclusive and innovative tourism strategy that has been the cornerstone of the INK-Kasi Xperience over the past decade. Our vision for sustainable tourism aligns seamlessly with the goals of this event, and we are excited about what lies ahead,” said Councillor Ntuli.

Chief Executive Officer of INK-Kasi Philani Ngwenya, expressed gratitude to the people of eThekwini and all supporters of the INK-Kasi Xperience.

“Your unwavering support exemplifies our shared commitment to honouring and celebrating local talent and culture. We are grateful that this event provides a platform to market Durban as a destination for music lovers from across the province and beyond,” said Mr Ngwenya.
