Dis naweek hie’ buite and D&D Productions presents Melody X Music, featuring the best in local entertainment this Friday.
Melody x Music Live is a vibrant showcase of local talent, where South African artists, who've carved a name for themselves in the entertainment scene come together to share their music and passion with their day-one fans.
It's an intimate celebration of homegrown creativity, unity, and the power of music.
Melody X Music brings the best of R&B and Pop to the stage, featuring a headline performance by the soulful Rowlene, with Dean J Smith as the charismatic host. The evening will also showcase electrifying opening acts from Motive Harmonizers and Celest Dreyer, promising an unforgettable night of musical magic.
It is all going down this Friday at the Joseph Stone Auditorium and tickets are available on Quicket at R150.
Rowlene is no stranger to the entertainment scene and is the voice behind the hit track SMA (Send Me Away) featuring Nasty C.
She says: “Music is my lifeblood, a reflection of my soul where stories and emotions are woven into every beat and lyric. It’s a powerful way for me to connect with my roots and share the raw energy of my community with the world. Through music, I find freedom, whaling and purpose.”

STIEK 'N GELUK AT SVNS
It’s all things sports this weekend as Athlone Stadium will host the first and second rounds of the SVNS Challenger 2025 on Friday and Saturday featuring 12 men's and 12 women's teams.
The top eight placed men’s and women’s teams will progress to the third round at the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium in Krakow on 11-12 April. The women’s competition includes South Africa, Czechia and Hong Kong China in pool A.
Argentina head up pool B together with Thailand and Mexico. Pool C sees Belgium, Uganda and Colombia go in to battle. Poland are paired with Samoa and Kenya in pool D.

The South African Airforce Museum is hosting an Open Day this Saturday from 9am to 2pm.
On arrival, you will be welcomed by parking attendants who will show you where to park and where the entrance is to sign in and be given a quick rundown where everything is and what's going to happen while you visit.
Boerewors rolls and hamburgers will be on sale with plenty of other snacks, cold drinks, Shackleton beer, Stettyn Cellar wines and barista coffee to choose from. A memorabilia stand will also have everything on display to buy as well as museum t-shirts and caps. Entry is free.
