Cotton Fest, the popular music and youth culture festival, is set to make its debut in Durban this year.
The festival, which started in Joburg in 2019 by the late global music and fashion icon Riky Rick, will be staged in KZN for the first time on Sunday July 2 at Kings Park Stadium – Outer Field.
Cotton Fest features performances across two stages and also celebrates South African street culture, fashion, popular sport, art and food. The line-up, however, has not yet been revealed.
“Durban has always been a city that openly embraces and supports music and youth culture. And we are thrilled to finally bring Cotton Fest home finally. Taking Cotton Fest to Durban, Riky’s birthplace, which was always part of his plan, is particularly special to the whole team.” said festival co-founder Bianca Naidoo.
“And as always, we plan to bring together some of the biggest names from across country to not only create an unforgettable experience for the Durban family but also celebrate how precious life is.”
Tickets, which range in price from R150 to R300 are available from Webtickets and Pick n Pay outlets.
