Brands, creatives, and individuals within the South African fashion value chain, this one is for you. Awards that will finally represent the fashion industry in its entirety. The Fashion Forum Group, in partnership with the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture—aims to celebrate and honour innovators and creatives in the business of fashion, with the launch of The Fashion Industry Awards SA. This is about recognising business excellence that has helped shape the South African fashion landscape.
The media launch took place at the Mall of Africa and was hosted by media personality, Lerato Kganyago. Beautiful fashion installations by some of the finest local designers such as Sun Goddess, Ephymol, Amanda Laird Cherry, Black Coffee and so many more, created the perfect ambiance for the launch event.
More than 30 categories of the awards were revealed, including accessories designer to make-up artist, education institution, retail space, music icon, hair stylist, textile/trim supplier, fashion publications and fashion journalists.
The inaugural Fashion Industry Awards South Africa is set to take place in November 2021 and will be an annual event.
